Information Retrieval is a course designed for third-year undergraduate students in Computer Science (ISIL specialization) during the second semester. The course introduces the fundamental concepts, models, and techniques used to search, represent, evaluate, and retrieve information efficiently from large collections of data. Students will study Boolean and vector models, TF-IDF weighting, similarity measures, and system evaluation methods such as precision and recall.
